Temuka’s main street is one of South Canterbury’s best second-hand strips — Venture Timaru’s pre-loved trail lists close to ten shops along King Street — and the Salvation Army Family Store at number 69 is the one where books are part of the official stock list.
Opening hours are shorter than in Timaru (Saturday closes at 1pm), so visit on a weekday if you want time to work along King Street’s antique and second-hand shops too.
