The Salvation Army Family Store at 71 Gorge Road keeps the longest hours of Queenstown’s charity shops — 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday — which makes it a reliable stop if you are in town for a day. The Salvation Army’s own listing names books alongside clothing, furniture, household goods and toys, and profits fund its community work in the Wakatipu.
Pair it with the Hospice South shop up the road at 106 Gorge Road; between the two you will see most of the used books that circulate in central Queenstown.
