About
Waimate’s Salvation Army Family Store on Queen Street, the town’s main shopping street, is the only verified used-book outlet in the Waimate District. The Salvation Army lists books among the clothing, furniture, household goods and toys sold in its Family Stores, and the shop is open Monday to Saturday.
Waimate is about 45 minutes south of Timaru and a short detour inland from State Highway 1 on the way to Ōamaru.
Price tip: Family Store pricing — low-cost paperbacks.
