About
Richmond’s Salvation Army Family Store is on Queen Street, the town’s main shopping strip. Since Brett’s Book Exchange — 18 years on the same street — closed in January 2025, Richmond no longer has a dedicated secondhand bookshop, so the town’s charity shops are now where used books turn up.
The Salvation Army lists books among Family Store stock. The Hospice Superstore is at the other end of Queen Street on the corner of Gladstone Road, so the two make a quick Richmond loop.
