Habitat for Humanity’s Sydenham ReStore (also branded as the Sydenham Op Shop) at 189 Waltham Road is the Christchurch branch of Habitat’s charity retail. Official copy explicitly lists books alongside clothing, homewares, furniture, records, games, puzzles, toys, DIY and garden gear.
If Mathew — or any book hunter — asked for “Restore” in Christchurch, this is the store: a one-stop charity shop on the Sydenham bus route near South City. Open seven days. Proceeds fund Habitat’s local housing programmes. Combine with City Mission Buchan Street and the Colombo Street op-shop strip.
