The City Mission’s Barbadoes Street op shop is the charity’s flagship central-city store — a full-range shop with furniture, whiteware, linen, clothing, homeware and a book section. All proceeds support City Mission services for people facing hardship in Christchurch.
Official pages explicitly list books among the stock, so it’s a reliable stop when you want op shop books in the central city without relying on a dedicated bookshop. Open Monday–Saturday 10am–4pm. Donations and a collection service are available. Curate by City Mission (vintage/online) operates above the same address by appointment.
